Ralph C. Cooke, III

Welcome to PalmerWells Equity Research.

MY ROOTS
PalmerWells is my labor of love.  For my seventh grade year, my parents
enrolled me in McDonogh School in Baltimore, Maryland.  Of all the teachers,
it was my history teacher, Mr O'Brien, who unknown to me at the time was
planting the seeds to my future.  He used his forty five minutes with us to
introduce us to business as well as history.

Like many teachers past and present, he gave each of us 10,000 fictional
dollars with a promise for a real reward for the individual who proved to be the
best investor at year end.  Invest in what we knew he encouraged, and so I
did.  I invested in IBM and Xerox.   I read the business pages and track
ed my
stock.  I know not how I performed, other than to say I did not win, but you
knew that.  But I was hooked, a runner I would follow the story of Nike. I recall
the battles of the late 80's with Reebok for closet share.  Nike all about the
technology; Reebok all about the flash.  Turns out it is a lot easier to sell
flash.  But flash is just that - flash, ephemeral.  No need to tell you how the
story unfolds.

I still have that passion, and now I am armed with a few more tools to provide
some insightful analysis to you.

EDUCATION
My love affair with Central New York (CNY) began in 1985, when I began my
undergraduate education at Syracuse University, where I earned my degree
in accounting.
After five years in public accounting, I would return to CNY,
this time Ithaca, to earn a Masters of Business Administration at Cornell
University.

Licensed Certified Public Accountant State of Maryland
Level I Chartered Financial Analyst Candidate
